Cloud-based Instant messaging app, Telegram drops ‘Telegram is free forever. No Ads, No subscription fees.’ It is being talked about as Telegram earlier appeared to be testing its Beta version for iOS that included exclusive stickers and reactions only available to premium users.
It was spotted by reputed mobile developer and leaker, Alessandro Paluzzi. According to him, new data strings are highlighting the potential of upcoming version of Telegram, where the app will provide free unlimited cloud storage for media and chats. Currently, there is no official announcement made about Telegram premium and subscription features by the company.

Back in 2020, the Co-founder of Telegram, Paul Durov
announced that the app will start earning revenue in 2021 through premium subscription and ad platform. But till now the company has not shown any sign of such update.

Rumoured ‘Premium’ features of Telegram
According to details from the
iOS beta version of Telegram, it may show a star badge on your profile to highlight that you are a premium user. Different stickers and reactions will be also available to premium customers.
The Beta version also suggested that, if you are a premium user and you send new stickers and emojis to a non-premium user they won’t be able to see it, instead the user will be prompted to sign up for the premium version of Telegram.
Is Telegram different from other messaging apps?
Telegram claims to have distinctive security features as all the activities including groups, chats and media shared among participants are encrypted. App also allows you to set self-destruct timers on media and messages that range from a few seconds to weeks. It also features, ‘Secret Chat’ which claims to offer end-to-end encryption leaving no trace on Telegram’s servers.
Telegram was launched back in 2013 as a privacy-focused and ad-free instant messaging app. As of July 2021, the app has 550 million monthly active users.
