PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2022 games for PS4 and PS5

PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2022 games for PS4 and PS5

PS Plus‘ revamped service has so far been extremely interesting with a number of high-quality big games being added to the upper tiers of the service. But, is that set to continue? Well, thankfully, we have a list of the PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2022 free games for PS4 and PS5.

Leading the charge is a free trial being offered for the month. Roll 7’s eclectic, and bonkers Rollerdrome will have a free trial available on PS5 and PS4, allowing you to try out its unique blend of shooting and skating gameplay. Impressions of it are incredibly positive, so hopefully, it should be a must-try on the service. It is a shame the full game isn’t available, however.

But, if you want the full list as it stands right now, check out the PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2022 games for PS4 and PS5 below.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium tier August 2022 games are as follows:

These games will be available from August 16, 2022, and we will have a full list of games on August 10, 2022, when PlayStation reveals the rest of the games being added to the lineup.

There are also three games leaving PS Plus in the month of August. They are:

  • Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept (PS4) – August 11
  • NBA 2K22 (PS5, PS4) – August 31

There aren’t any new Classic games to play as part of today’s PS Plus refresh, but there is one bonus PS Plus Premium members can take advantage of: a new Limited Trial for today’s hot new release Rollerdrome. It’s available to download now with an active membership, and you can sample the first hour of the game. If you like what you play, you can save a good amount of money with a PS Plus discount that drops the price by almost £10/$10 to £16.49/$19.79.
We posted our Rollerdrome PS5 review earlier today, awarding it an 8/10 because of how well it plays and that utterly beautiful art style. “If there’s an award for game feel, Rollerdrome wins it by a country mile. Roll7 has crafted a short but supremely sweet experience that feels incredible to engage with. No matter whether you’re performing tricks or blasting enemies, its addictive loop will have you coming back for more,” we concluded.

PS Plus Extra, Premium Get Free 7-Day Trial

PS Plus Extra, Premium Get Free 7-Day Trial

PS Plus Free TrialSony is now offering a free seven-day trial option for PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. We’re not entirely sure whether this option has only just appeared or whether it’s simply been overlooked up until now, but it’s right there on Sony’s official PlayStation Plus page (as spotted by XGP). And, as far as we can tell, it’s only available to European customers at the time of writing.
This free trial period applies to any Extra or Premium subscription option — that’s one month, three months, or 12 months. If you do grab the free trial, note that you’ll be paying the regular subscription amount once the trial expires — so be sure to cancel before then if that’s not a part of your plans.
It doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but a week’s worth of access to Extra or Premium could actually be quite generous if you spend it wisely. The Extra games catalogue in particular offers an impressive number of titles, all of which can be downloaded. You can check out our massive All PS Plus Games guide for much more information.
Think you’ll give this free trial a go? Hit that subscribe button in the comments section below.

Ubisoft+ Is Coming to PS5, PS4, with 50 Classics Free for PS Plus Extra, Premium By the End of the Year

Ubisoft+ Is Coming to PS5, PS4, with 50 Classics Free for PS Plus Extra, Premium By the End of the Year

Ubisoft + Plus PS5 PlayStation PS Plus 1Ubisoft+, the French publisher’s subscription service, is coming to the PS5 and PS4 in the future. And there’s even better news for PS Plus subscribers: those who sign up for PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium will get access to Ubisoft+ Classics at no extra cost. As the name implies, this is a curated list of legacy titles, with the selection set to expand to 50 games by the end of the year.
So far, the following are all confirmed to be part of Ubisoft+ Classics:

“With Ubisoft+ Classics, we’re providing PlayStation players with another way to enjoy Ubisoft games on their consoles,” beamed Ubisoft’s Chris Early. “This is just the beginning, as we will ultimately make Ubisoft+ available to PlayStation owners as we continue to build our vision and provide players with more options to access their favourite games, whenever and wherever they are.”
Ubisoft+ Classics will launch alongside PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium from 24th May in Asia, and then 13th June in North America and 23rd June in Europe. It’ll be followed by the full Ubisoft+ subscription later in the year, which includes access to day one titles and various other benefits, like in-game content packs and rewards. Obviously you’ll need to purchase that separately.
