Tottenham’s big players were off their game in the opening half with loose touches from their attacking trio and a failure from the two wing-backs to get forward enough. Ivan Perisic took some time to get going and looked sluggish at times down the right until the end of the half when he whipped in a good ball that Harry Kane headed over the top of the crossbar. On the other side Emerson Royal continues to show plenty of enthusiasm only without the quality or decision-making ability on the ball to create as a wing-back.
