MultiVersus Season 1 officially kicked off today and with it comes an all-new Battle Pass. As expected there are two tracks to the Battle Pass: a Premium track and a free track.The Premium track costs 950 Gleamium, which equates to about $9.50. Alternatively, you can spend a battle pass token which is included in the Deluxe Founder’s Pack and Premium Founder’s Pack.
There are a total of 50 tiers featured in the Season 1 Premium Batte Pass. Spread out across these tiers are six new skin variants, eight new ringout VFX animations and more.The Free track is meant as a way to reward players for simply playing the game. As you progress, you’ll unlock gold, XP boosts, unique badges, icons and stickers.While most games skimp out with rewards in the free track of a battle pass, MultiVersus is actually giving away one of the game’s coolest cosmetics in the LeBron “I’m Freaken’ Robin” variant. This is LeBron James dressed as Robin, as seen in the Space Jam: A New Legacy movie.
You’ll unlock this special LeBron variant by completing the entire free track of the battle pass.For those who spend the money and purchase the Premium track, you’ll automatically receive the Toon Squad ’96 Taz variant. Additional character variants you’ll unlock on this track are Harley’s fan-favorite Task Force X, Flashback Garnet and more. Those who purchase the Premium track will also receive all the rewards featured in the Free track as well.Not all of the Season 1 cosmetics will be included in the battle passes, however. There will be new cosmetics for direct purchase such as Jake the Dog’s Jake the Starchild variant and Shaggy’s Kung Fu variant.
Cosmetics will be categorized based on rarity ranging from uncommon to rare (blue) to epic (purple) to the highest legendary (gold). Naturally, the rarer the cosmetic the more it will cost. Some upcoming legendary cosmetics will have entirely unique voice actors and custom animations.
MultiVersus Season 1 is now live. The game is free-to-play on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
