Best Pet Insurance in Hawaii (2022 Guide)

Coverage: Figo has three plans with unique annual coverage limits — Essential ($5,000), Preferred ($10,000) and Ultimate (unlimited). These plans cover emergency services, surgeries, hospitalization, laboratory and diagnostic testing, prescription medications, cancer treatments, alternative treatments, mobility devices and rehabilitation. Chronic, congenital, hereditary and orthopedic conditions are also covered. Pet owners can choose a reimbursement rate of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% and a deductible of $100, $250, $500 or $750. However, if you choose a 100% reimbursement rate, it can only be paired with a $500 or $750 deductible.
Add-ons: Figo has three different “power-ups” or add-ons you can purchase to supplement your base policy. There is a wellness package available at either the Basic level or Plus level for preventive care or routine services, such as bloodwork, vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention and spay/neuter surgery. Both cover the same services, but the annual coverage limit varies.
Another power-up option covers the cost of your pet’s vet visit relating to an accident or illness, but not routine care visits.
The Extra Care pack covers situations outside of a vet visit, including boarding fees for pets when you’re in the hospital, cremation and burial costs, pet theft, advertising and reward money for a lost pet and vacation cancellation fees should your pet fall ill and you have to cancel your trip.
